Abstract: Non-photorealistic rendering (NPR)，which is belong to computer art category, is a new problem in computer graphics and image processing, and much attention is given to this field from home and abroad. A detailed survey of current techniques for NPR is given. Firstly, the studying meaning and studying range are presented. Secondly, the related key technologies are summarized in detail. Some typical NPR algorithms are compared and classified. Finally, some key research issues that need further research efforts are pointed out.
