Abstract: Parameterization of triangular mesh surface is the basis of many applications. Based on the combination of planar convex parameterization and spherical parameterization, a spherical parameterization method for closed triangle mesh surface is presented．The cut boundary of triangular meshes is found first. Mesh’s boundary is mapped to the corresponding boundary of sphere and then mesh is parameterized. Interior points of triangles are mapped to sphere. The correctness of algorithms presented is validated, and future work is discussed.
