Abstract: To meet the requirement of product feature model of integration of CAD/CAM in the medium and small enterprises, the information model of feature is created based on the feature-based modeling theory. The method of realizing feature modeling with AutoCAD is researched, and the primary steps of feature modeling as inputting the feature’s parameters, locating, creating, saving are introduced. The instance of modeling gear pump body testifies the feasibility of using ObjectARX to realize feature modeling, thus providing a simple and effective method of the integration of CAD/CAM for the medium and small enterprises.
