Abstract: ChangZhou embroidery with disordered needles represents local culture. It's urgent to develop advanced technique for its protection and inheritance. This paper presents an approach for simulated generating method of embroidery with disordered needles based on image decomposition. This is achieved through decomposing an image into different object regions, vector fields, and image details. We obtain the simulated multilayer superposition effect of embroidery with disordered needles through multilayer rendering technique. Finally, we create a database of disordered needles, and provide realistic rendering through the method of simulating single string stitch. The results show that this framework can effectively reproduce the artistic effect and lays a foundation for digital inheritance of embroidery with disordered needles.
