Abstract: Aiming at the current problem lacking of quantitative comfort evaluation method, a
multistage fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on DEMATEL-entropy is proposed to
quantify the comfort evaluation in civil aircraft cabin. At first, on the base of relevant passenger
comfort survey, a multistage evaluation indicator system is built. And then a comprehensive weight
assigning method is proposed, which combined the subjective method-DEMATEL with the objective
one-entropy method. It could reflect and quantify the importance of indicators by analyzing the inner
casual relationship between them. The comprehensive weight obtained with this method could reflect
the importance of indicators objectively and reasonably. In order to solve the fuzziness and
subjectivity problem of evaluation language, criteria and process, a multistage fuzzy comprehensive
evaluation method is adopted to assess the comfort in civil aircraft cabin. Finally, a more objective
and quantitative result is obtained, which can give a feedback and direction to the designers. It is
proved to be an effective method.
