Research on IDM-based Description Method of the Flowchart at the Design Stage of Building Engineering

Abstract: IDM (Information Delivery Manual) is playing a key role in applying the IFC standard to BIM applications with particular purpose in a certain stage. Researches on IDM in foreign countries have been involved in many aspects, such as structural design, energy analysis, facilities operations and infrastructure projects and so on, however there are few related papers published in China. This paper aims to standardize the design procedure of building engineering and detailing the IDM standard. Combining with the design process of architectural design enterprise, and using BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) method, the IDM-based architecture professional flowchart at the design stage of building engineering is described in detail, which is a reference for the design process of other disciplines and contributes to the implementation of the IDM standard.#br# Key words: BIM; information delivery manual; business process modeling notation; flowchart; design of building engineering
