Abstract: With the advent of the era of construction building information modeling (BIM), with 3D
modeling as the carrier of the design and drawing had greater influence on the traditional drawing
education. Based on BIM modeling this paper discusses the architectural engineering drawing
teaching new system build, break the monotony of complanation of drawing thinking, simulation in
virtual space structures, vivid reduction design intent, to study and practice of engineering graphics
and modeling process of unification, students out of the learning difficulties caused by a lack of space
thinking ability, make them in the process of modeling experience design, creation and innovation.
