Abstract: Because the amount of 3D models is so large in virtual assembly system, which make the difficulty to store the models, so the data type of LOB (Large Objects Binary) in Oracle is used for storing 3D models. A virtual assembly platform is constructed with VC++, and OpenGL is used to display 3D models.
