Abstract: Engineering graphics curriculum’s theory is mature and the system is complete. Fixed
teaching model is easy to divide teaching and production practice, and students do not know why to
learn. Based on the teaching experience of civil engineering drawing course for many years, this
paper firstly analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of civil engineering drawing under the
background of applied transformation, such as the disjunction of engineering practice, the difficulty to
use and so on. Project oriented teaching philosophy is put forward and its inner meaning is explained.
This paper discusses the teaching practice under the guidance of the teaching philosophy of
engineering “project oriented”, such as curriculum optimization, classroom teaching and practice
development, and can make the students get rid of rote memorization and boring learning mode, unify
the learning and the practice, and realize organic convergence of follow-up courses.
