Application of Augmented Reality Technology in Engineering Graphics Education

Abstract: Teaching and research are two categories with strong interaction. Scientific research supplies materials for teaching, while teaching provides innovation inspiration for scientific research in turn. This paper explores how to enrich the amount of information in class and stimulate students’ interest in learning engineering graphics through interaction between teaching and research. It proves that not only the teaching becomes vivid and full of lectures, but the students’ knowledge is broadened and their interests in scientific research are stimulated effectively, if we add some scientific research cases to the classroom, such as virtual model representation by Augmented Reality technology.
