Abstract: Based on a variety of design goals for pattern prototypes of specific product, the concepts
of user requirements subdivision table and product form grouping were presented, defined and
expressed. The user requirements subdivision table act as a template to obtain user requirements
subdivision information while the KANO model determines the types of it and the corresponding
weights. On this basis, the user demand subdivision information grouping, namely the basic
requirements group, the performance requirements group, the attractive requirements group are
completed. Based on the user requirements subdivision information group, the three conceptual
models of product pattern grouping are defined, and the process model of product form grouping is
given. Finally, the electric kettle is used as an example to verify the feasibility of this method and
process.
