    Abstract ( 122 )   PDF (454KB) ( 186 )
Industrial design process modeling is the key of product design process management study,
which directly affects the development cycle and overall benefits of projects. However, there is no
effective modeling technology and system for design process management in current industrial design
fields. In order to realize the dynamic, structural and orderly management of the design process of
industrial design enterprises, we introduce process oriented organization management, process
optimization of workflow technology and Petri net modeling method in the product design process
management. Then, according to the research on the design process management process, the design
process management workflow flowchart is constructed. In addition, combining with workflow
technology, Petri net modeling method and the industrial design process management flow, this paper
proposes a four-stage workflow modeling method for industrial design process management: ontology
analysis, element extraction, element generalization and element introduction. Finally, based on Petri
net, a workflow management model of industrial design process management is built, and accordingly,
the industrial design process management prototype system is realized.

    Abstract ( 111 )   PDF (8501KB) ( 92 )
The paper aims to analyze the culture of Zhejiang, and propose a method for Zhejiang map
information design based on cultural translation, thus to protect and inherit the regional culture of
Zhejiang, and enrich the map information types there. The regional culture of Zhejiang is analyzed
and summarized based on three layers, including implements layer, organization layer and spirit layer
of culture, and the most representative cultural elements are selected as the design goals which, by
using the methods of “translation”, can be transformed into the map information design language and
then applied to the map information design practice, thus a Zhejiang map with both accuracy and
cultural contents can be obtained. In design, the map information can be classified into basic
information, deep information and implicit information according to the characteristics, and the direct
translation method, the continuous translation method or the indirect translation method are used to
transform various information into design language, in order to make the map a comprehensive

    Abstract ( 65 )   PDF (511KB) ( 101 )
Dizziness in virtual reality is an important factor that affects users’ experience. This
research takes the immersive virtual riding as an example to propose a solution to lower dizziness as
well as to measure the users’ experience from the perspective of heeling feedback. Firstly, three
patterns of heeling feedbacks responding to relative riding positions are put forward and applied in
virtual cycling, including the pattern based on active rolls (IR mode), the pattern based on angles of
turns (PR mode) and the pattern without feedback (NR mode). Then, the users’ experience when
riding under these three patterns is measured. The results show that IR mode is not suitable for virtual
cycling. Moreover, compared with NR mode, PR mode not only reduces dizziness in the process of
turning but also improves the users’ sense of being present on site, as well as the cycling system’s
    learnability and usability.

    Abstract ( 60 )   PDF (237KB) ( 132 )
To improve the modeling design of train facilities is a significant aspect of improving the
quality of service in rail transportation. At present, the modeling design mainly focuses on the
improvement of its function and structure. Great improvements still need to be made on the
psychological demand and visual experience of passengers. It aims to analyze the relationship
between the visual image and modeling design, and to serve as reference for the quantitative research
of modeling parameters. Accordingly, we verified the difference of visual image in different positions
by doing experiments from four views—on the aisle, aisle seats, middle seats, and window seats. In
the light of the characteristics of different view images, the experimental data of 3D samples are
calculated. The basic method of quantitative analysis is used to make the induction of the changes of
multi-view visual images. The visual image is associated with four main factors including elegance,
stillness, softness, and wideness. On the basis of statistics, combined with the analysis of visual
cognitive characteristics, the correlative mechanism between the four factors and visual comfort in
    different views can be analyzed.

body. These two are combined by using the multi-somatosensory driven method, and the experiment
is carried out. The results show that by using LeapMotion and Kinect to recognize hand joints, when
the gesture is within the range of LeapMotion recognition, we can add more precise gesture
recognition to the realization of human somatosensory recognition. This method has successfully
realized the combination of human posture recognition and precise gesture recognition, and can be
applied to the human-computer natural interaction in the virtual training of astronauts.

Approximating Planar Implicit Curves with Hermite Interpolation
WEI Li, ZHAO Jingjie, HUANG Huimin
    2018, 39(4): 752-756.  DOI: 10.11996/JG.j.2095-302X.2018040752
    Abstract ( 59 )   PDF (416KB) ( 123 )
Implicit curves play an important role in medical image processing, geographic information
system, and numerical field visualization. On the basis of sampling point analysis and curve
approximation method, we introduce an algorithm for approximating planar implicit curves by means
of Hermite interpolation. The sampling points were firstly obtained by linearly interpolating each
edge of the grid cells distributed uniformly in the grid region. Then, we calculated the error between
curve segments before and after optimizing. Once the error meets the optimizing requirements, the
sampling points are consequently optimized. Finally, the algorithm approximated the implicit curves
by the Hermite interpolation method. Experiments have shown that even when the number of
sampling points is small, the curves drawn by the algorithm still have relatively higher smoothness
    and accuracy.

    2018, 39(4): 757-764.  DOI: 10.11996/JG.j.2095-302X.2018040757
    Abstract ( 73 )   PDF (1275KB) ( 142 )
Data standards are the basis for resolving information sharing and exchange issues. As the
international data standard for the data exchange in building information modeling, industrial
foundation classes (IFC), released by buildingSMART alliance, is designed to coordinate work of
different disciplines and software at different stages throughout the lifecycle of buildings. At present,
the information exchange between architectural and structural domains is the most urgent issue in the
process of multi-specialty cooperation in AEC/FM (architecture, engineering, construction & facility
management) industry. In the structural domain, the issue of eccentric members exerts a considerable
influence on the analysis of structural models. With regards to the data conversion of different
structural analysis software, this paper extracts the data representation of eccentric members, and
designs a conversion algorithm for eccentric structural model through a data conversion platform
based on the structural general format (SGF), which is used for data interoperability among various
commercial structural software. Moreover, C++ is employed in the research to achieve the
transformation for the eccentric members of structure models using IFC format.

    LIN Jiarui, ZHANG Jianping
    2018, 39(4): 765-770.  DOI: 10.11996/JG.j.2095-302X.2018040765
    Abstract ( 112 )   PDF (445KB) ( 144 )
Various data fragmented in different data formats are involved in green building evaluation.
Nowadays, building information modeling (BIM) emerges as a new way to integrate all these data
into a single repository to improve efficiency and facilitate the adoption of green building. However,
due to lack of both BIM software and information model supporting green building evaluation in
China, it is difficult to evaluate lifecycle performance of a green building in China. Thus, by
analyzing China’s green building evaluation standard, information requirements for green building
evaluation were extracted. Then, applicability of industrial foundation classes (IFC) to describe and
support China’s green building evaluation standard was assessed. Results of this research can be of
great value in the establishment and development of the information model specialized for China’s
green building evaluation, and it will also assist the formation of the information delivery standard
and the study of BIM tools for green building evaluation.

    CHANG Shengjie1,2, DANG Jianwu1,2, WANG Yangping1,2
    2018, 39(4): 771-777.  DOI: 10.11996/JG.j.2095-302X.2018040771
    Abstract ( 91 )   PDF (749KB) ( 270 )
Traction substation equipment in its life cycle has a large number of heterogeneous
information. However, when Autodesk Revit is used as modeling software to establish BIM model of
traction substation equipment, the model cannot meet the requirement of information integration for
the whole life cycle of the equipment due to the limited attribute parameter type and grouping mode.
Aimed at the above problems, this paper took traction transformer as an example, analysed the
non-geometric information of the traction transformer, then further classified and graded the
information, and finally proposed a new method which integrates the non-geometric information into
BIM model so as to combine both geometric and non-geometric information in the same Revit
document, and to facilitate the above methods, a plug-in module is developed using Revit API.
Experimental results have shown that the method can not only integrate the geometric information of
the equipment with a large number of non-geometric information in the same Revit document, but
also ensure the lightweight of the Revit document, and therefore achieve the desired objectives.

    2018, 39(4): 791-796.  DOI: 10.11996/JG.j.2095-302X.2018040791
    Abstract ( 79 )   PDF (547KB) ( 168 )
The era of education 4.0 has come to us, marked by the information intelligence
civilization constructed by the integration of information technology and education. The blended
teaching, as a new teaching model, is the focus of education information research today. In response
to the problems with traditional teaching mode of the course of Engineering Graphics and on the
basis of Bromm teaching classification theory, the present study re-tidied up and re-classified the
teaching content according to the type of knowledge points, combining the relevant studies done by
blended teaching scholars at home and abroad and relying on the High-quality MOOC Online
Education Integrated Platform developed by Tsinghua Education On-line. According to the types and
cognitive dimensions of each knowledge point, the teaching objectives are designed, the
informational teaching environment is created, the teaching content is developed, the teaching activity
and the evaluation method are designed. A blended teaching model has been brought about that suits
the characteristics of the curriculum and student development. In practice, it is demonstrated that this
blended teaching model has achieved good results in the teaching practice of the course of
Engineering Graphics, thus serving as reference for similar courses to carry out such blended
    teaching.
