    Abstract ( 112 )   PDF (574KB) ( 179 )
Locus figures of the point on the planetary gear distinguish regular from irregular figures and they all have corresponding application value. Basic relation of figure classification is got by setting up locus equation of the point on the planetary and letting one to three order differentials of one coordinate on one position all be zero. The design conditions of the regular polygons with the same side and regular polygons with the same angle and recurrence spiral with many rings and adjacent convolution with loop are put forward. It provides a theoretical basis for designing the regular figures and high order intermittent mechanisms at one limit position or two limit positions with a single stroke and many strokes.

    Abstract ( 136 )   PDF (762KB) ( 312 )
Design and calculation of non-circular gears based on non-circular pitch curves are more complex than circular gear’s. Because of variety of tooth shape, non-circular gears can not be used to model by arraying, mirroring and other methods. Abstract ( 147 )   PDF (797KB) ( 246 )
The drawing of realistic graphics often deals with the antialiasing of color line on the background taken from the real world. The effect of antialiasing is not only with the foreground, but also with background. The fact of antialiasing is the merge from the foreground to background color. The calculation formula of adjacent pixel color consists of both foreground color and background color. It is proposed that antialiasing algorithm of color line expands the Wu Anti-aliasing algorithm to a level of background, deepening the antialiasing theory.

    Abstract ( 207 )   PDF (532KB) ( 239 )
Cloud maps are the most frequently acquired sources nowadays because they contain very useful meteorological information. So the cloud maps are used as input to drive the simulation of 3D clouds. Using gray level co-occurrence matrix and fractal theory, the texture feature of cloud maps are extracted, basic cloud types are classified, and so the distribution feature of cloud scene is retrieved. The coarse distribution is mapped to the surface of the earth to produce basic parameters of atmosphere. With these basic parameters of atmosphere, CML method is used to generate 3D cloud density distribution, then 3D clouds are rendered onto the spherical surface cover the earth. The auto analysis of Fengyun2 cloud maps and visualization of 3D cloud scene on digital earth are realized.

    2010, 31(3): 88-93.
    Abstract ( 115 )   PDF (526KB) ( 168 )
The key technology of Augmented Reality (AR) is 3D registration, that is to compute the virtual-real synthesis parameters based on real scenes. In order to expand the outdoor application of AR, a triangulation-based registration method is proposed to reduce the computational complexity of virtual-real synthesis by constructing the triangulation on the main object of the real scene. It depends on neither the marker used in indoor application nor the sensing technology used in outdoor application. Taking terrain as an example, it can get the 3D information through single frame instead of two different frames in the past and can quickly finish the virtual-real synthesis. This method provides a new approach to solve the key technology of outdoor AR systems.

After analyzing the reconstructed image quality of the computer-synthesized hologram (CSH), a method to improve the reconstructed image quality of the CSH is provided. The zero-order diffraction will decrease the contrast of reconstructed image, while the cyclic shift effect of twice Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) will shift the twin image’s last row and last column to the first row and first column, respectively. Burch’s method is adopted to eliminate the zero-order diffraction, while the pixel location is adjusted to eliminate the virtual image cyclic shift, the original image of CSH can be reconstructed accurately. 2010, 31(3): 117-121.
    Abstract ( 120 )   PDF (456KB) ( 205 )
Multiquadric(MQ) is a kind of radial basis function developed by Hardy. So far, it has been used to many realms, such as geodesy and numerical solution of differential equations. Up till now, there are known four kinds of multiquadric quasi-interpolation, namely, LA、LB and LC raised by Beatson and Powell and LD by Wu and Schaback, in which, LB is constant reproducing, LC and LD are linear reproducing. Here, firstly, the properties possessed by the basis functions of a quasi-interpolation in the form of LD are given when this quasi-interpolation is linear reproducing. Then, a multiquadric quasi-interpolation is constructed which has the properties of linear reproducing and preserving monotonicity. Moreover, the theoretical analysis to its approximation error is shown. Lastly, the effect is illustrated by two examples. The numerical results indicate that this quasi-interpolation possesses high approximation precision.

    Abstract ( 120 )   PDF (467KB) ( 274 )
The interpretation of conic by use of points and lines correspondence on the conic or use of the conic optical flows is more complicated, because it must find the optimum solution of multivariant equations. The space conic is represented as the complete intersection of a quadric surface and a plane, and two independent polynomial conditions for a corresponding pair of conics are presented in this paper. The polynomial conditions are inferred by use of the base curve. On the basis of study, the computational methods and the computational procedure of the projective reconstruction of a space conic are derived. The results of example show that the algorithms are more utility and reliable than traditional algorithms.

    2010, 31(3): 155-160.
    Abstract ( 98 )   PDF (829KB) ( 215 )
The conditions of non-structure surfaces in the enabled configuration views with two-side-multi-frame are studied. It is concluded that if the symmetrical similar-frame exists in the enabled configuration views with two-side-multi-frame, then the symmetrical similar-frame is the two non-structure surfaces in 3D shape. Corresponding similar-frame is a non-structure surface in 3D shape if there are not the common-plane point groups in this figure. Corresponding similar-frame is a forbidden surface in 3D shape when there are the common planes point group in the frames (non- triangle) and having a line of the frame intersecting or incline from the common planes point group. If one projection straight line corresponds to a closed-frame, and the line of frame does not coincide with part appearing on common planes point group in the frames, then the closed areas are a non-structure surface in 3D shape.
